Josh Jung homered in the first, the Rangers tacked on two more in the second with help from a wild pitch, and a three-run sixth put it away on Wyatt Langford's RBI double, a bases-loaded hit batter, and Carter's sacrifice fly. Jordan Montgomery won his Rangers debut.
Toronto's runs came on Alejandro Kirk's RBI single and Schneider's solo homer. The Blue Jays stayed three games back of the third wild card.
